Fifth EME Board Meeting - November 2009

The EME Board met for the fifth time on the 17th and 18th November 2009. Twelve preliminary applications were invited to submit a full proposal for consideration at the February 2010 EME Board. Two full proposals were funded, subject to changes in response to Board feedback. The Board recommended that the application for extension for 1 full proposal should be supported subject to the feedback provided being satisfactorily addressed. Two full proposals were not recommended for funding. The Efficacy and Mechanism Evaluation programme is funded by the MRC and NIHR, with contributions from the CSO in Scotland and NISCHR in Wales and the HSC R&D, Public Health Agency in Northern Ireland. It is managed by the NIHR Evaluation, Trials and Studies Coordinating Centre (NETSCC) based at the University of Southampton.
