Eleventh EME Board Meeting - October 2011

The EME Board met for the eleventh time on the 25th and 26th October 2011. Seven preliminary applications were invited to submit a full proposal for consideration at the February 2012 EME Board. Four full proposals were funded, subject to changes in response to Board feedback and further clarification on specific issues raised by the Board. Two full proposals were not recommended for funding. One application for an extension to a full proposal was supported. The Efficacy and Mechanism Evaluation programme is funded by the MRC and NIHR, with contributions from the CSO in Scotland and NISCHR in Wales and the HSC R&D, Public Health Agency in Northern Ireland. It is managed by the NIHR Evaluation, Trials and Studies Coordinating Centre (NETSCC) based at the University of Southampton.
